Hello,
Yesterday,(November, 17), I birded several several
spots in the Grandview, IN area. There apeared to be
quite a large waterfowl movement going on. I started
out at the AEP generating station.
Along with all the normal Canada Geese, Mallards, and
Great Blue Herons I had 5 CACKLING GEESE, 6
RING-NECKED DUCKS, 1 AMERICAN BLACK DUCK, and 1
PIED-BILLED GREBE. Next I spent a couple of hours
watching the Ohio River at Grandview. I watched
several rafts of ducks float by. All ducks werein
Indiana water when first observed but then passed into
Hancock and Daviess County, KY waters. Ducks observed
include : 
                                 150+ Lesser Scaup
                                 30 Canvasback
                                 1 Mallard
                                 1 Rudy Duck
                                 1 Hooded Merganser
                                 14 Northern Shovelers
                                 1 Common Loon
                                 6 Ring-billed Gulls

Finally, I ended my afternoon with a quick visit to a
small marsh on the western edge of Grandview. Mixed in
the the Mallards and Canada geese normally found there
this time of year was 1 white morph SNOW GOOSE.
