[birdky] Fed. refuge, Long point

Birded for a brief time on the Federal Refuge. After passing the Tower I took a
left and went down to the marsh and found 6 species of ducks. Pintail, Mallard,
Gadwall, N. shoveler, Am. Wigeon, Wood. Largest population was A. Wigeon. and
Mallard. Spent a few minutes at the pond on the right as you get to the turn
around at the marsh and found a Male Commom Yellow throat. A Great Horned Owl
was calling, this was about 4:30pm. Also found 13 delightful turkey. They
started the pump yesterday where I turned left and it is nice to see some water
there. Looking forward to winter and all the waterfowl and geese. Refuge closes
on the 15th. of NOv.
