Purple Finch Sinclair
An impressive number of migrating hawks and Turkey
Vultures was evident with T Vultures numbering into
the hundreds. Black Vulture, Red-tailed, Cooper's,
Sharp-shinned, Red-shouldered Hawks, and American
Kestrels were observed.
An adult Red-headed Woodpecker spent the 5th and 6th
feeding at the tray feeder on my deck. What a nice
bird to watch leisurely and closely, always one of my
favorites.
