[birdky] Jackson County Indiana Cranes

I just returned from the bottoms west and north
of Brownstown. There were at least 2000 Sandhill
Cranes and 3 of their cousins. The bulk of them were
located along CR150-115 W (The number changes). The
others are along CR300 N, between 225W and 25E. There
is a truck from the Crane Foundation following them.
These birds are moving around a lot from field to
field. From what I was told, the wind the other night
brought them over Jasper-Pulaski without setting down.
It would be impossible to guess how long they
will stay, but historically they spend at least a
couple of weeks during the fall migration.
