[birdky] Lake Barkley & Mammoth Cave

On Monday I spotted a large flock of 200
Forster's Terns mingling with 400 Ring-billed
gulls near the Mineral Mound golf course. For
those of you who have hiked to First Creek Lake
in Mammoth Cave Park, the drought has had a
terrible effect in that the lake is now only
a 30 by 60 foot pool of water. Two Killdeer and
a Spotted sandpiper were feeding along the shore.
