I birded the Casey Creek area for a couple of hours today. The mudflats are
looking really good for shorebirds, but I only saw approximately 30 Killdeer
and 2 Least Sandpipers. The water is down enough that you can walk around
the backside of the mudflats. However, most of the area can be viewed from a
little spit of land before you get to the boat ramp.
Great Egret 4
Peregrine Falcon adult (possibly the reason for the lack of shorebirds)
Marsh Wren 2-3
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
Gray-checked and Swainsons Thrushes
Birding smiles . . . . .
