[birdky] Snow Goose in Boone County and other birding

Shore lake - Boone county
One of my stops today was at a Boone County Lake I discovered this summer.
It's "Shore Lake" off US 25 south of Florence.  I had just gotten there when
the first wave of Canada Geese flew in and a Snow Goose was with them.

Marydale/Catholic Center - Boone County
I've spent the last few days birding there.
Birds seen:
Nashville Warbler
Tennessee Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Eastern Phoebe
Cedar Waxwings
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Many Cardinals, Robins, and Bluejays
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Tuesday) at the feeder across the street at my
school.

Backyard
In the spring I had a Red-headed Woodpecker show up during a bad storm.   He
feasted on the peanuts that I put out for him at the feeder for several days
and then left for about a week.  He then returned and mid summer I
discovered there were two.  And....as had hoped....there is now a youngster
in the backyard. 


Minor Clark Fish Hatchery
I visited the fish hatchery last Sunday.
7 Pectoral Sandpipers
7 Killdeer
Many Yellow-rumped Warblers
Palm Warblers
Cedar Waxwings
Osprey
Pileated Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
2 Blue Winged Teal
5 Pied-billed Grebes
Blue Morph Snow Goose (this one is pretty spotchy in color and the one last
year was solid blue)
Eastern Bluebirds

I have finally gotten around to working on the images that I've taken over
the past week or so and have added images to Minor Clark and started a new
page for the fall.
