Two Purple Finches were present at Big Bone Lick State Park in Boone County on
October 23. Other birds seen in the park included Cooper's Hawk, six species of
woodpeckers (no Red-headed), and Brown Thrasher. Gravel pits at Petersburg held
Double-crested Cormorant (4), Green-winged Teal (5), and Pectoral Sandpiper (1)
along with many Canada Geese and Killdeer.
