Another great yard bird added to my Blood River list. The young Black-necked
stilt was feeding with a Lesser Yellowlegs all morning. It then took a nap
with the Ring-billed gulls and was feeding again when daylight was waning.
Jonathan Creek was also a hot bed of shorebird activity this afternoon.
Listed below are the shorebirds seen on both mud flats.
Semipalmated Plover
BLACK-NECKED STILT - BR only
Lesser Yellowlegs
Western Sandpiper - JC only
Least Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Dunlin
Wilson's Snipe
Hap
Murray, kY
