The KOS/Beckham fieldtrip to the Sloughs wma in
Henderson County will be held this Saturday as
scheduled.  We will meet at the second observation
platform at Hardy Slough along hwy 268 at 0800 cdt.

Wear clothes suitable for marshing.  Clothing with a
tight weave is more resistant to collecting weed seeds
than clothing with a soft/fuzzy weave.  We will spend
most of the day walking the sloughs at Hardy, and most
water will be only ankle deep or less.  One may also
stay dry by walking the levees.  Be sure to bring
lunch, and a dry change of pants/socks/shoes is nice
for the ride home.  

Directions to Hardy Slough are as follows:

From Audubon Parkway take Pennyrile Parkway south at
Henderson.  Take hwy 425 west which is the next exit
south of Audubon Parkway.  Stay on 425 until it
becomes 136, straight through this intersection. 
Follow 136 to the community of Geneva and turn right
on 268.  Hardy Slough is 4 miles on the left, and you
will see the observation platforms.  We will meet in
the gravel parking area at the second platform.
