[birdky] BKY: Birds Seen in Eastern Jefferson County

A ruby-crowned kinglet and a yellow-rumped warbler were seen in the wooded
area behind our home on Sunday, October 6. It seems our winter visitors are
arriving due to the recent cold fronts.
Today birds observed included nine species of warblers (Tennessee, Nashville,
Magnolia, yellow-rumped, black-throated green, redstart, mourning, and
Wilson's) a ruby-crowned kinglet, Swainson's thrush, blue-headed and red-eyed
vireos, and rose-breasted grosbeaks. Our hummingbirds failed to come to the
feeders today and we did not see any in the woods.
Cool temperatures, a bright blue sky -- a great day to search out migrants as
they pass through our little piece of greenspace here in Jefferson County.
