[birdky] Re: Red River Gorge

The eagle was first seen flying low over the river
being harassed by crows. It perched in a dead pine
for close to an hour, and when the winds and lift
picked up, it thermalled up and drifted away. There
were several hikers that got to see it through my
scope, with a nice comparison between it and Turkey
Vultures soaring in the same thermal. They thought it
was really cool.
