[birdky] Minor Clark Fish Hatchery

I made a trip to the fish hatchery this morning. I was hoping for
some terns but there were none present. There weren't a lot of
shorebirds and even less light. All the shorebird action was on pond
#56 and #66. The shorebirds would be on one pond and when something
flushed them, they'd go to the other pond so they spent time back and
forth.
I ran into Mike Wright and Fred Busroe when I first got there. Mike
had not seen the White-rumped Sandpiper this morning but I found
it. It really blended in with the dull mud, especially since it was
so cloudy and it hung by the rocks much of the time. In talking to
Fred, I think that he mentioned that he had seen a Western Sandpiper
last night. I found a Sandpiper that might be a Western but I'm not
sure. I've only seen them in Florida when they were in their
breeding plumage. I stayed from 8:30 to 12:30 but the mix of
shorebirds didn't change.
I have shots of the White-rumped Sandpiper and what I "think" is the
Western. I've added them to my webpage so I would appreciate any ID
help for sure on what I've listed as the Western. These certainly
aren't quality images as the light was horrible and I had to use flash.
