The Northern Kentucky Bird Club held a field trip today to Gunpowder Creek
Nature Park near Burlington (Boone Co.). Five people were in attendance on an
overcast morning. Some migrants present included Swainson's Thrush, several
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, and one unidentified Empidonax. Ten warbler species
were seen with a Connecticut Warbler being the most noteworthy. Other warblers
included Tennessee, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Black-throated Green,
Blackburnian, Black-and-white, American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, and
Canada.
