Yesterday evening I received an email from Tom Biebighauser, Morehead
District Biologist for the Daniel Boone National Forest. He was inquiring
about the ID of an odd waterbird that he had photographed on Sunday at his
farm near Sharkey. The photographs clearly show a juv. Purple Gallinule. 

Going to run by the area this afternoon to see if it might still be around;
appeared to possibly have an injured wing. If it can be relocated, I will
post directions and contact info to listserve later after I've checked to
make sure it is OK for visitors to try to see it.
