9/3 Hardy Slough, Shorebird Unit, 268 slough, 1574 slough, Grassy  
Pond/Powell's Lake Unit, Pond Creek slough

Shorebird Unit is flooded good for ducks too deep for waders
268 slough has lots of water, not much open muddy edges for shorebirds
1574 slough is flooded
Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake Unit flooded: no open muddy edges for  
shorebirds
Pond Creek slough is flooded to Spring levels

Highlights:

Blue-winged Teal
Sora at Pond Creek slough
Solitary Sandpiper at Pond Creek slough
Lesser Yellowlegs at 268 slough
Black & White W. at Hardy Slough
Am. Redstart at Hardy Slough
Summer Tanager group at Hardy Slough

9/4 Gentle Pond slough and diked area, 268 slough, Horseshoe Road  
slough, Grassy Pond/ Powell's Lake Unit, Pond Creek slough

Horseshoe Road slough is much better than last week: lots of shorebirds

Highlights:

Double-crested Cormorant 30 flying over GP/PL Unit
Green Heron: 3 at GP/PL Unit
Mallard: 60 at HRs
Green-winged Teal: 4 at HRs
Blue-winged Teal: 10 at HRs
Red-shouldered Hawk at GP/PL Unit
Am. Coot 2 at PCs
Semipalmated Plover: 4 at HRs
Black-bellied Plover: 4 at HRs
Wilson's Snipe: 20 at HRs
Lesser Yellowlegs: 4 at 268, 2 at HRs
Pectoral Sandpiper: 2 at HRs
Least Sandpiper: 15 at HRs
Am. Redstart at GP/PL Unit
Blue Grosbeak at PCs
