A quiet weekend at the Red River Gorge. Many of the summer regulars were 
either very quiet or already gone. Highlights include Red-breasted Nuthatch in 
usual haunts at Rock Bridge, a mini-warbler wave in pines and oaks on the ridge 
along Rough trail near Gray's Arch, and quite a few Blue-headed Vireos still in 
song. Details;

September 5, 2004
Grayâ??s Arch (Rough Trail), Red River Gorge, D. Boone NF, Powell Co., KY
2 White-breasted Nuthatches, 4 Pine Warblers, 2 Blackburnian Warblers, 1 
Prairie Warbler, 1 Chestnut-sided Warbler.
 
Natural Bridge SP, Powell Co., KY
2 White-breasted Nuthatches, 2 Blue-headed Vireos, 2 Ruby-throated 
Hummingbirds, 1 Worm-eating Warbler, 2 Hooded Warblers
 
KY 11 roadside rest just south of Natural Bridge SP (climb area), Wolfe Co., 
KY
1 White-breasted Nuthatch, 2 Blue-headed Vireos, 6 Carolina Chickadees, 3 
Tufted Titmice, 1 Louisiana Waterthrush, 1 Hooded Warbler.
