We are beginning to see a few more migrants in Jefferson County.

Sunday, August 29 - Tom Sawyer State Park- Blackburnian, Prairie, Blue-winged 
Warblers

Monday, August 30 - Tom Sawyer SP - Canada Warbler 

Tuesday, August 31 - Woods behind our home - Black-and-white, Redstart, 
Chestnut-sided Warblers, Yellow-throated Vireo, Pewee and Cedar Waxwings, 
red-phased Screech Owl and heard a Great Horned Owl , 3 Red-shouldered Hawks

Wednesday, September 1 -  Woods behind our house - Redstart, Magnolia, 
Nashville, Black-throated Green, Chestnut-sided Warblers, Red-eyed Vireo.  We 
went 
back to check on our Screech Owl that we saw yesterday and noticed that there 
was an extra foot in the honeysuckle vines.  After closer examination we 
realized there were two Screech Owls sitting next to one another. One was red 
phased 
and the other was gray phased. That was really neat to see. Hope they will 
stay around.
