Despite the overcast conditions and occasional rain showers (or maybe because 
of them?) I saw some good birds at the Fish Hatchery Sunday. Several were 
"firsts for the season". I saw a total of about 40 species--highlights below:
Pied-billed Grebes
American Coots
Double-crested Cormorant
Great Egrets
Blue-winged Teals
Wood Ducks
Snow Goose (it's still hanging around; it has pretty much completed its molt 
now, and actually looks like a Snow Goose)
Pectoral Sandpipers
Wilson's Snipe
Greater Yellowlegs
Bald Eagle
Osprey
Red-shouldered Hawk
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Red-bellied and Pileated Woodpeckers
White-breasted Nuthatch
Gray Catbirds
Brown Thrasher
Palm and Magnolia Warblers
Savannah Sparrow
