KyBirders: ( Rankin Bottoms in Cocke County on Sept. 14, 2003)

Today on Sept. 14, 2003 I went to Rankin Bottoms in Cocke County to see birds 
and here are lists of Shorebirds, Waders, & Falcons here is what I saw today at 
Rankin Bottoms:

ShoreBirds:

Flock of Dunlins ( Flying )

2 Buff-Breasted SandPipers

14 Pectoral SandPipers

1 Spotted SandPiper

Waders:

Large Flocks of Great Blue Herons and Great Egrets ( on both sides of the dirt 
road )

Large Flocks of Double Crested Cormorants (in the water and flying )

2 Green Herons

Hawks or Falcons:

Peregrine Falcon

WaterFowl: GameBirds

Gadwalls ( in the water on the left or right side of the road next to Great 
Egret and 1 on the bank walking back to the car )

Canda Geese  ( honking in the distance)

BobWhite Quail ( Whistling )
