I know some of you have visited the Outer Banks of NC and have a great fondness 
for the area as I do. The below link has some stunning photos of the damage 
from Isabel around Hatteras Village.  There was even a new inlet cut across 
highway 12 between Hatteras and Buxton. I missed the TV news and am not sure if 
they showed scenes like these, but it certainly explains why there are no 
results of any birding from there being posted on the Carolinas listserve!  
Sure looks like the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is the place to be!

The link was a little clunky, perhaps because of high use or a slow computer on 
my end, but hitting refresh often seemed to help pull up the photos.  If birdky 
truncates the long link line, repaste the lines together for the whole thing.
