Well, too bad we didn't run into Robert Dever today at the Falls. It was a
good day for birding.
We managed to see the following at the Falls:
Black Vultures (12+)
Turkey Vultures (50+)
Double Crested Cormorants (12+)
Killdeer (25)
Sanderlings (4)
Lesser Yellowlegs (1)
Least Sandpipers (4)
Solitary Sandpiper (well duh - 1)
Great Blue Heron (12+)
Ring-billed Gulls (6)
Red Shouldered Hawk (1)
Redstarts (6)
Chestnut-sided Warbler (2)
Magnolia Warblers (2)
Bay-breasted Warbler (1)
Prothonotary Warbler (1)
Downy Woodpecker (1)
Hairy Woodpecker (1)
Red-bellied Woodpeckers (2)
All of this was surprising since there were 50+ kids on the fossil bed across
the channel the whole time we were there.
