Best bird at the power plant today was a Golden Plover. I had found it then
took my eyes off it for a second and it was gone. I found it again on the
far end of the pond. A couple other birders were there and I sent the
girlfriend back over to tell them I had found it.
I sure am hoping for a storm to move through maybe we might get some good
bird numbers here. With some luck maybe even some of the rare waders from
the south.
Birds seen were .....
Greater Yellowlegs
Least Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Black Vulture
Turkey Vulture
Killdeer
Great Blue Heron
Great Egrets
GOLDEN PLOVER (first for the year)
Red Wing Blackbirds
unknown Tern?
Take care,
Ed Richards
Danville, Ky
