Not much change in the species of birds at the back of Blood River. A hot
paddle yielded the following highlights:
Great Blue Heron - 30+
Great Egret - 24
Little Blue Heron - 3
Green Heron - 2
Black Crowned Night Heron - 2 juvenile
Killdeer - 28
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
Spotted Sandpiper - 8
Least Sandpiper - 7
Pectoral Sandpiper - 5 (beautiful juvenile plumage)
Yellow Warbler - 3
