[birdky] RPT: Roseate Spoonbill location

I just talked to Tom Uhlman. He gave me specific directions to where he
photographed the Roseate Spoonbill on Saturday, August 11th. It sounds
like a boat/kayak is going to be required to search for the bird.
The spot is on page 40 of the KY Gazetteer, block D-6. Tom put in at a
boat ramp at the KY 504 crossing of the lake near the confluence of
Little and Big Caney Creeks (just southwest of Ibex). He then kayaked
southeast around the "S" turn and continued down the straighaway to the
southeast to the confluence with the Little Sandy River. Here instead of
following the mainstem southward toward KY 7, he turned left (northeast)
and paddled downstream on the mainstem and around the first point to the
north. Just north of this point, there is a second, more pointed and
obvious one on the map (now JUST south of Ibex) and this is where the
bird was perched above the lake. This is all kind of hard to see on the
map. I am emailing a photo to Gary Ritchison to post on the KOS site
that shows this much better. I'll send along a link to the image later.
