[birdky] birds in hot weather

I saw a hummer in my back yard "venting". I think that is what Hap calls it or
how birds handle body temperature in hot weather. It flew down to the ground
and spread all of its wings out and sat there for about a minute. Meanwhile a
dove and a cardinal were doing the same thing. And they all looked twice their
size, lopsided, and wounded. Wish we mammals could fan out like this in a
"hotflash"!!
