[birdky] Stint arrangements for Saturday

I have secured permission for birders to visit the Little Stint site on
Saturday. I will not be able to get there to open the gate until 9:00 a.m. EDT,
so there is no need to plan to get there earlier. There is quite limited
parking outside of the gate, too. I think we will have access at least through
early afternoon. I will have someone post as to whether or not the bird is
refound tomorrow morning. I really have no way of knowing how long we will
remain at the site, but I'm afraid that I can't guarantee access after some as
yet undetermined time in the early to mid-afternoon. I am not sure about Sunday
access yet. I will know more tomorrow mid-day. Sorry to be so wishy-washy about
some of this, but as I noted previously, the extent of our access to this site
is still in the process of evolving.
There is also limited parking inside the gate. If a number of cars accumulates,
please try your best not to block in other cars. Also, as in the previous few
days, it will be required that each vehicle close the gate behind it, both
entering and exiting the access point.
Also, keep in mind that tomorrow there are thunderstorms in the forecast. This
should not cause any problem for access, but it might cause some problems for
birding. Also, if we get a lot of rain, this flood retention basin could become
a deep lake in a matter of an hour or two. We'll just have to see how the
weather plays out.
Directions to the access point along Grade Lane have been previously posted on
BIRDKY. Please refer to them.
Most folks have been able to see the stint bird and others at the site well
without getting wet/muddy feet.
