[birdky] Piping Plover - Falls of the Ohio

We went over to the Falls of the Ohio after work with the hopes that the
Avocets and Whimbrels reported earlier by Major Waltman would still be there.
The Whimbrels couldn't be relocated but 8 Avocets were still at the Falls until
sunset.
We decided to make an evening of it and around 7:40 pm Tom found a Piping
Plover across from the observation deck. It spent most of its time moving
around
in the general area of the avocets as reported by Major.
Mary Yandell joined us and agreed that it was indeed a Piping Plover.
Other birds seen from the observation deck:
Semi-palmated Plovers
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Pectoral Sandpipers
Blue-winged Teal
Short-billed Dowitchers
Osprey
Peregrine Falcon
Great Egrets
and the usual Great Blue Herons and Black-crowned Night Herons, Killdeer,
etc.
We also saw a Spotted Sandpiper at Wave Rock.
