A late morning trip to Ballard proved very hot. I don't know what I was
thinking but it was worth the trip anyway. Aside from the heat, the newly
relocated Canada geese make it very difficult to get near the shorebirds on the
mudflats and continuously keep the peeps stirred up. Highlights include:
Wood Duck 8

Great egrets lots
Snowy egrets 5
Little blue heron 1
Miss Kite 1
Bald Eagles 3
A. Golden Plover 1 (molty adult)
Killdeer 200+
