Ever have one of those feelings?  I had planned to
spend the day in Nashville shopping for a mandolin,
but awoke early this morning with Wood Storks on my
mind and couldn't shake the thought.  So I headed to
Lake 9 instead of Nashville, and after a few minutes
of scoping located an immature Wood Stork amidst the
700 or so other waders.  Two immature White Ibis were
also present.  Most of the waders including the stork
and ibis were near the northern end of the lake.  The
female Scissor-tailed flycatcher and one juvenile were
located below Barkley Dam during a quick stop there.

Little Blue Heron (appr 50)
Semipalmated Plover (6)
Greater Yellowlegs (1 juv)
Lesser Yellowlegs (6 w/1 juv)
Solitary Sandpiper (15)
Spotted Sandpiper (2)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (appr 50 w/6-8 juvs)
Western Sandpiper (6)
Least Sandpiper (appr 200 w/15+ juvs)
Stilt Sandpiper (1 juv)
Wilson's Phalarope (2 juvs)
