I spent the better part of the morning looking for shorebirds on island # 1 in 
Carlisle county.  Although not numerous, several good birds were found and I 
got some really nice looks at most everything.  The first shorebird I saw was a 
Black-bellied Plover.  I took this as a good sign and soon after found the 
first of 2 Willets.   Most common shorebirds were present as were Caspian, 
Forster's and Least Terns.  A short stop at Ballard WMA and I added 
Buff-breasted sandpiper, Greater Yellowlegs, Snipe and Black Tern rounding out 
the day with 13 shorebirds and 4 terns.  I also had an all too brief look at a 
probable Baird's sandpiper on Island # 1 that somehow managed to fly away 
undetected and will remain unidentified.
