Forster's terns have increased to 18 today at Jonathan Creek (Ky.
Lake) They perch on the sticks that fisherman have put in the water to
attract fish. At least two were still in breeding plumage.

Also 5 Caspian terns sat poised among the Ring-billed gulls on the
shore. Never realized that Caspians are as big or bigger than the gulls.

Mudflats are sparse, but two Least sandpipers and a few Spotted found
something to eat along the shore.

A White-eyed vireo called incessantly all morning at my cabin on
Jonathan. Its frequency surpassed the pewees! It must have had something
to "crow" about. I will never know???
