While visiting the West Vaco WMA yesterday, Shawchyi and I saw an adult male
Ruddy Turnstone in full breeding plumage on the Mississippi river banks.
Great egrets were everywhere! They were hanging out in the moss covered
trees and the scene reminded me of a back water slough in coastal South
Carolina.
