[birdky] RPT: Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and Red Crossbill

I have received a couple of interesting reports in the past two days:
Daniel Moss had a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher on the Ft. Campbell airfield
(Christian County) on August 3rd. This is the second time Daniel's had one
out there (the other being in summer a few years ago) . . . maybe they are
nesting in the vicinity???
Danny Watson with Ky Dept of Fish and Wildlife Resources reported that the
Northern Kentucky District Health Department recovered a juvenile Red
Crossbill on July 14th from Fort Mitchell, Kenton County! It tested negative
for West Nile Virus, but we will have a specimen from a VERY weird time of
year (of course it's not as odd as a Snowy Owl in central Indiana in late
July! -- assume everyone's heard about that) for possible determination of
subspecies for this perhaps some day split up species complex.
