I have been made aware of the fact that my birdline format is not
meeting approval. I don't wish to waste my time (or others) doing this
incorrectly.

What I have been trying to do is keep note of birds mentioned between
postings, and where it says "birds mentioned" (on the format I acquired
by previous poster) I mention those birds. In addition to, I include
notes on rare or just interesting sightings (early/late migrants, etc).
I have attempted to mark these birds within the list with an asterisk. I
have not always remembered to do this.
If an unusual that was previously listed is not again mentioned prior to
my next posting I have not again included it. I maybe should remark that
they were not mentioned.
I have copied what I do both from what I thought was being done, and
what I see on the BIRDCENTRAL postings from others states.
If I need to be doing something other, if I need to send different
postings to different places, if I need to be caned, please tell me. It
does not upset me that someone disapproves (I have long disapproved, but
what can I do; I'm me), but I will not do this knowing it does not pass.
