I know Nighthawks are commonplace in most towns but the only time I see them
around home are the last few days of August and the early part of September
when they are migrating. Yesterday I saw one silhouetted against the
approaching storm clouds as we were loading the last burley frame of the day.
Maye it saw that black cloud coming and decided to leave town a day or two
early.
