Sunday morning found Rhonda and I in a vortex of about 300 Purple
Martins after a Cooper's Hawk made an unsuccessful effort at making it
299 (Jacobson park, Lexington). Before they were disturbed I noticed
that the adult males were about 1 in 7 or 8. The same walk produced a
number of Baltimore Orioles singing, but no warblers.=20
