This afternoon while filling our feeders at the house, I discover a dead male
house sparrow floating in a dog bowl that we keep filled with water outside.
The water was only three to four inches deep, but I am wondering if perhaps he
drowned. I have seen several other sparrow hop in for a bath and hop out with
no problem.
Has anyone else ever observed a similar situation? Is four inches too deep of
a water supply?
