The following shorebirds were present at a Petersburg (Boone Co.) gravel pit on 
August 2:
  Semipalmated Plover (2)
  Killdeer (6)
  Lesser Yellowlegs (1)
  Solitary Sandpiper (1)
  Spotted Sandpiper (1) 
  Least Sandpiper (23)
  Pectoral Sandpiper (1)
  Short-billed Dowitcher  (1)

Other birds present included Canada Goose, Wood Duck, Mallard, Bank Swallow, 
and Blue Grosbeak. A return visit on August 3 found the following shorebirds:

   Killdeer  (10)
   Semipalmated Sandpiper (1)
   Least Sandpiper  (12)
   Pectoral Sandpiper  (1)
