The National Park Service and the Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife =
Resources are
co-sponsoring Hawk Watch Weekend at Cumberland Gap National Historic =
Park
during the weekend of September 20 - 22, 2002. Last year, according to =
Bill Moore (KDFWR),=20
attendees counted 61 birds on Saturday and 197 on Sunday. Most of the =
birds observed were=20
Broad-winged Hawks, but they also saw several accipiters, falcons, & =
