From postings on the 'digiscoping' listserve, it seems a lot of people have
made the jump to the Coolpix 4500. This appears to be the replacement for the
990/995 and they seem to be getting similar (excellent) results to those of
the 990/995. I haven't looked, don't know what the difference in price is. I
have also seen that people are still buying the older cameras as well, I
guess they have faith in Nikon.
