Roseanna Denton and I participated in the Lower Mississippi Valley Shorebird 
Count this weekend.  Saturday we birded on the Mississippi River sandbars in 
Carlisle County and the sloughs in Ballard County.  Sunday we joined Ken 
Leggett and Nancy Moore for an interesting trip into KY Bend then finished 
our weekend at Lake #9 in Fulton County.

Semipalmated Plover
Killdeer
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Sanderling
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Baird's Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Stilt Sandpiper  
Total Individuals  982
Other birds of interest
Snowy Egret (44), Mississippi Kite, Bald Eagle, Broad-winged Hawk, Least Tern 
(500+), and Black Tern.
