A few days ago I reported on having seen, over the years, Spotted
Sandpipers on stream banks in NW Grayson Co. in the middle of summer
assuming they were nesting birds.
True.
My mis-statement was that I had flushed one from a nest underneath
overhanging tree roots along the bank of a stream. It was the nest of the 
Louisiana Waterthrush , not the Spotted Sandpiper. Must have been the 
bobbing tail attribute that connected in my brain. Joyce Porter
