Kentucky and Tennessee birders are invited to the annual 
HummingbirdFest this weekend (27-28 July) at Woodlands Nature Station 
at Land Between the Lakes KY/TN.
I'll be capturing and banding Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and talking 
about their natural history, how to attract them, and how to use them 
as a teaching tool. There also will be displays of captive birds and 
mammals, activities for kids, and a variety of vendors.
The weekend includes a 6:30 p.m. cook-out followed by a lecture on 
Friday, and all-day banding sessions on Saturday (9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) 
and Sunday (9 a.m.-3 p.m.). All activities are at the Nature Station 
and require a small admission charge.
Advance reservations are required for Friday.
