7/29. Quick negative report. Mary and I spent a few hours at Lake #9 in
Fulton Co. midday today. No luck on the juv. white ibis or the black-necked
stilts. Quite a show of wading birds to look through, though.

We spent most of the morning around Lake #9. The lake is quickly drying
at both ends. Since it is the only wet spot remaining there was a good
assortment of birds to look through.
Highlights were:
Wood Duck
Hooded Merganser - juvenile
American White Pelican - 35
Great Egret - 600 +
Snowy Egret - 6
Little Blue Heron - 11
WHITE IBIS - 1 juvenile bird photographed at the north end of the lake
Mississippi Kite - 4
Red-shouldered Hawk - 2
Red-tailed Hawk - 2
American Kestrel - 3
Killdeer - 150
Black-necked Stilt - 6 (2 Adult and 4 juvenile)
Greater Yellowlegs - 2
Lesser yellowlegs - 8
Solitary Sandpiper - 52
Spotted Sandpiper - 2
Least Sandpiper - 5
Pectoral Sandpiper - 16
Least Tern - 3
Eurasian Collared Dove
Red-headed Woodpecker - 3
Loggerhead Shrike - 2
