7/29. Quick negative report. Mary and I spent a few hours at Lake #9 in
Fulton Co. midday today. No luck on the juv. white ibis or the black-necked
stilts. Quite a show of wading birds to look through, though.

We spent most of the morning around Lake #9. The lake is quickly drying
at both ends. Since it is the only wet spot remaining there was a good
assortment of birds to look through.
  Highlights were:
  Wood Duck
  Hooded Merganser - juvenile
  American White Pelican - 35
  Great Egret - 600 +
  Snowy Egret - 6
  Little Blue Heron - 11
WHITE IBIS - 1 juvenile bird photographed at the north end of the lake
  Mississippi Kite - 4
  Red-shouldered Hawk - 2
  Red-tailed Hawk - 2
  American Kestrel - 3
  Killdeer - 150
  Black-necked Stilt - 6 (2 Adult and 4 juvenile)
  Greater Yellowlegs - 2
  Lesser yellowlegs - 8
  Solitary Sandpiper - 52
  Spotted Sandpiper - 2
  Least Sandpiper - 5
  Pectoral Sandpiper - 16
  Least Tern - 3
  Eurasian Collared Dove
  Red-headed Woodpecker - 3
  Loggerhead Shrike - 2
