Glad to see someone is getting looks at Wood Ducks. The question is - Is anyone
seeing Purple Gallinules? I would like to know if anyone has seen one this year
in KY? They must be out there because hunters are allowed to kill them in
season, right?

We spent most of the morning around Lake #9. The lake is quickly drying at
both ends. Since it is the only wet spot remaining there was a good assortment
of birds to look through.
  Highlights were:
  Wood Duck
  Hooded Merganser - juvenile
  American White Pelican - 35
