[birdky] spotting scopes

I'm in the market for a spotting scope. I've become a virtual I mean that
litterally) expert on scopes. I've read all Cornell has to say (seems to me
that 5 year old data may be antiquated) and perused a bunch of commercial web
sites. I've actually put my hands on a few scopes at the new Sportsman's
Warehouse here in Lexington. Is there any place in KY that a person can go to
test a few out? It looks to me like this will be a once in a lifetime purchase
for me and I'd like to get it right.
