An early morning kayak produced the following highlights. Kentucky Lake
level has dropped to 357.5 which offers shoreline and habitat for the wildlife.
Canada Goose - 54
Wood Duck - 6
Double Crested Cormorant - 4
Great Egret - 2
Little Blue Heron - 2
Green Heron - 4
Killdeer - 28
Solitary Sandpiper - 4
Spotted Sandpiper - 8
Least Sandpiper - 10
Pectoral Sandpiper - 1
Belted Kingfisher - 2
Pileated Woodpecker
Empidonax species - probably Willow Flycatcher
Purple Martin - hundreds gathering in the Cypress trees. Mostly female and
juvenile birds
Yellow Warbler - 1
