[birdky] Cute baby Kingbirds on UK campus

At the intersection of University Drive and Cooper, the southeast corner, about
12 feet up a 25 foot Willow Oak in the parking lot there, is a Kingbird nest
with two baby Kingbirds in it. They are easy to see and they are adorable. If
anyone wants to see them, or get photos, you can park in the Red lot adjacent
to the stadium because that is officially free to all people during the summer
terms (in spite of the permanant parking signs) , and walk about 200 yards
north toward Cooper. You are bound to hear the male Kingbird calling. It is
really neat to have watched him long ago stake out his territory, sing every
day, and eventually see a couple occupy the territory and now find the little
nest with the young. It is uplifting to see their little story of life unfold.
Best birding wishes,
Ben Albritton
Lexington, KY.
