[birdky] RPT: Sedge Wrens in Jefferson County

Have been working lots on our family farm in Jefferson County lately.
There hasn't been much to report, unfortunately. An American Kestrel
family has been busy catching insects in the fields we have been mowing
for hay; and their presence has minimized the numbers of my usually
constant companions ... Barn Swallows and Chimney Swifts. On July 14th
while mowing a hayfield, I flushed up two Sedge Wrens that I have not
been hearing sing. I guess they were relatively new arrivals.
Unfortunately I had to cut down their potential nesting territories. I
have been compiling the spring season report and I believe Sedge Wren
went unreported in KY this spring, which is relatively odd. These birds
are theorized to have come back south to breed here after breeding
farther north earlier in the year.
